The General Motors are plying a tactical move to introduce the new compact SUV, Chevrolet Adra to remain in the contest of ever-growing domestic need of bigger family cars. The sales of the manufacturers have depleted pretty remarkably and the reasons for the same have been long. Presently, the hatchback Beat, the robust Trailblazer and the Tavera are the ones from GM which are having an extended stay. The upcoming Adra has been developed over the Gamma 2 platform and expected to have a market level entry at around Rs. 8 lakh.
The looks of the SUV are mighty pleasing than any of its siblings. The front facet has got square with high ground clearance and black cladding all around the base. Both the headlights and the backlights have been extremely fascinating with the light on the rear half are split into the pillar and the back door. The interiors of the car has not been not revealed at most but is expected to come up equally good as that of the exteriors. The boot space has been adequately large along with the safety features well updated.
The SUV has been supplied with the 1.3 L diesel and 1.4 L petrol engines under the hood as options. GM are likely to introduce the new engine variant the 1.2 L EcoTech soon on seeing the response at the market. The aggressive looking car is likely to make tits entry intot he domestic auto arena by the end of 2016. The Chevrolet Adra would be competing with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Brezza Vitara, Renault Duster Facelift and Ford Ecosport.
